About Us

Picture
I am a local beekeeper in Suwanee, GA that collects honey and beeswax from my bees. See below how the honey is removed from the honeycomb, strained and then bottled for you.

Raw honey straight from the hive is the best tasting honey that you can get. The flavors are fresh and rich. Try honey on bread, in smoothies, add to recipes, or anywhere you would like to enhance the taste of your food. Taste the difference of raw, local, wildflower honey.

The Honey Harvests

We collect honey from our bees twice a year.  The first harvest captures the nectar from Spring flowers and the second will include more of the Summer and early Fall flowers.  We are always careful to make sure the bees have what they need for their food for the winter.

The Spring flowers that the bees visit will produce a slightly different taste of honey than during the summer.  Raw, local honey is the best and has a smooth flavor that is unmistakably fresh.  We take care to strain the honey before bottling so that you get all the benefits of raw honey.

Great on breads, in tea, your morning cereal or even in recipes to enhance the sweetness and texture.  Try it yourself and taste the difference.

About Honey & Beeswax
Pure, raw wildflower honey is a mixture of nectar and pollen from the local flowers of the area.  Our honey is strained (not micro filtered) to ensure the best benefits of local, raw honey remain inside the honey.  I am a local beekeeper in Suwanee, GA that collects honey and beeswax from my bees.  Honey can be used for extra sweetness and texture for recipes, a flavor enhancer in tea or smoothies and as a topping for bread, cereal or anything else that needs something special.  The bees also make beeswax to store the honey in the beehive.  We collect a portion of that beeswax and use it in making candles, lip balm and lotion bars.

About the Honeybees
Honeybees are very important to all of us.  They pollinate flowers that give us our food (fruits, vegetables, nuts, etc) - many of the foods would not even be here if it were not for the honeybee.  They make honey that can be used in many ways beyond a sweetener.  They create beeswax that has been used to seal or waterproof items, protect the skin or give us light.  They collect resins to make propolis - a mixture that is used by the bees to give the beehive anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties, but there are many studies still discovering the many benefits of what comes from honeybees.

All of us can help to make sure Honeybees stay around
  • Plant bee friendly wildflowers, shrubs and trees.  We can all use something that looks pretty, smells great and give us some shade.
  • Use pollinator friendly pesticides in the late evenings when the bees have returned to their homes.
  • If you have a yard or land with clover or goldenrod, consider not spraying for weeds and mow less often.  Give the bees a chance to collect some of that precious nectar.  It provides variety in their diet and helps them to save some food for winter.
  • Support a beekeeper.  Buy honey and other products from a local beekeeper.  They are helping to increase and preserve the honeybee population.
  • Provide space to a beekeeper.  Maybe you have land somewhere that could benefit from beehives.
  • Become a beekeeper.  Just one hive can make a difference and the difference can be you.  You may even want to get more.
